In Lowland Scots dialect the “gloaming” is the period after sunset and before it gets dark. This is over the Moray Firth near Lossiemouth in the North-East of Scotland.

Covesea lighthouse about to be hit by an evening squall. As I rushed in to position there was a double rainbow but despite my haste, where I slipped on wet grass with a heavy Bergen on and hurt my back, of course I missed it! Moray North-East Scotland.

Not much sea to see but this is a sea cave at Covesea near Lossiemouth 

The word Covesea is interesting in that it’s an “Englishing” of the earlier Cowsy which is how locals still pronounce it. However, I believe it itself is derived from the original Gaelic Caol Sith (pro: curl she) meaning Fairy Headland. Many sacred sites have Sith (fairy - not the frilly winged kind) in their name and a cave was found near here where children had been interred. A sacred place if ever there was one.
